HISPANIC WORKFORCE COALITION - Collaboration Policy for Civic and Entrepreneurial Education
1. Introduction:
HISPANIC WORKFORCE COALITION is committed to fostering civic engagement and promoting entrepreneurial development within our community. We believe in the power of collaboration to achieve these goals. This policy outlines the general terms and conditions under which we collaborate with other nonprofit organizations, business consultants, lawyers, accountants, and other independent entities or professionals to provide civic and entrepreneurial education programs.
2. Purpose of Collaboration:
Collaborations under this policy are intended to:
- Enhance access to civic education resources.
- Provide practical knowledge and skills related to small business startup and development.
- Empower individuals to participate actively in their communities and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities.
- Extend the reach and impact of our collaborative educational programs.
3. Eligible Collaborators:
We welcome collaborations with:
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
- Business consultants and educators.
- Law firms and legal professionals.
- Accounting firms and financial professionals.
- Other independent entities or professionals with relevant expertise.
4. General Terms and Conditions:
- Educational Focus: All collaborative programs must be primarily educational in nature and align with our mission.
- Independent Entities: Collaborating entities shall remain independent and shall not be considered partners, joint ventures, or agents of HISPANIC WORKFORCE COALITION
- No Endorsement: HISPANIC WORKFORCE COALITION does not endorse the products or services of collaborating entities.
- Written Agreement: All collaborations will be formalized through a written agreement (e.g., Letter of Intent - LOI, Memorandum of Understanding - MOU) outlining the specific terms and responsibilities of each party.
- Content Responsibility: Collaborating entities are responsible for the development and delivery of educational content.
- Non-Solicitation: Collaborative programs shall not be used for direct solicitation of clients or customers.
- Donations: Any donations collected during collaborative programs will be handled according to the terms specified in the written agreement. Typically, the entity providing the educational instruction will be the recipient of any donations.
- Fair Market Value: If HISPANIC WORKFORCE COALITION provides resources (e.g., premises, equipment, online platforms), the fair market value of those resources may be documented in the written agreement.
- Compliance: Collaborating entities must comply with all applicable laws and ethical standards.
- Liability: Each collaborating entity will be held liable for their own actions.
- Promotion: Any marketing or promotional materials must be approved by HISPANIC WORKFORCE COALITION and accurately reflect the nature of the collaboration.
- Records: Both collaborating organizations will keep accurate records of their actions within the collaboration.
- Termination: Collaboration agreements may be terminated as specified in the written agreement.
- Completion and Future Engagement: Unless otherwise expressly stated in a separate, each collaborative initiative undertaken pursuant to this policy shall be deemed completed upon the conclusion of the corresponding event, workshop, webinar, or session. Upon such conclusion, all obligations of the parties involved with respect to that specific initiative shall cease, and neither party shall be obligated to engage in any further projects or activities related to the subject matter of the completed initiative. Any future collaborative projects or engagements between HISPANIC WORKFORCE COALITION and a collaborating entity or professional must be formalized through a new, separate written agreement, clearly outlining the scope, terms, and duration of the subsequent collaboration.
5. Application Process:
Interested entities or professionals are invited to submit a proposal outlining:
- Their organization or professional background.
- The proposed educational program and its alignment with our mission.
- The resources they can provide.
- Any potential financial arrangements.

6. Disclaimer:
HISPANIC WORKFORCE COALITION reserves the right to decline any collaboration proposal that does not meet our mission or align with our policies. This policy is subject to change at any time without notice.
